September 18, 2025 – Italian Bike Week
The Italian Bike Week will take place from September 18 to 21 and will mark the closing of the 2025 beach season in the city of Lignano Sabbiadoro, which opened in May with the 39th edition of the Biker Fest International, which attracted approximately 240,000 visitors in 2024. Following the success of the 2023 and 2024 editions, this year marks the fourth edition of the Italian Bike Week event.
One of the main new features compared to the Biker Fest will be the opportunity to test drive “Off-Road and Adventure” vehicles. The new models presented in August will be available to everyone, making Italian Bike Week the ideal stage for official motorcycle manufacturers, who will have the opportunity to let the general public test their new ranges on dedicated dirt tracks. In 2024, the 14 motorcycle manufacturers present completed over 1,700 on- and off-road test rides, allowing enthusiasts and potential customers to experience their latest innovations firsthand.

September 26, 2025 – Sandy Wheels 2025 – Cycling Experience

From September 26 to 28, 2025, we enthusiastically invite you to participate in a weekend entirely dedicated to sustainable mobility, featuring dream cycling routes, engaging recreational activities, and engaging talks by renowned cycling experts.
The event will feature an exhibition area packed with new products, equipment, and gadgets related to the world of cycling, as well as a food area where you can recharge your batteries and satisfy your appetite, enjoying delicious traditional dishes and culinary specialties after a busy day in the saddle.
Additionally, the entire ring road surrounding Lignano Sabbiadoro will be completely closed to motorized traffic, reserving the entire area exclusively for cyclists. This measure will allow them to fully enjoy the resort and explore its natural wonders in complete tranquility.

September 27-28, 2025 – Laroste Gravel Ride & Race
LAROSTE GRAVEL RACE 2025 – Lignano Sabbiadoro becomes the capital of gravel
On September 28, 2025, Lignano Sabbiadoro (UD) will host the first edition of the LAROSTE GRAVEL RACE, the new official event added to the national calendar of the Italian Cycling Federation. A weekend entirely dedicated to gravel cycling and cycle tourism, with routes along the sea, rivers, and the Friulian countryside.
A full weekend for cycling enthusiasts
The event will take place as part of Sandy Wheels – Lignano Cycling Experience, the festival that celebrates slow mobility and the passion for cycling with events, workshops, guided rides, and the presence of cycling champions.
The program includes two days packed with events:
Saturday, September 27, 2025 – LAROSTE GRAVEL RIDE & CICLOSTORICA D’ORO
LAROSTE K150: the longest and most challenging route, designed for experienced cyclists.
- LAROSTE 75K: medium distance, suitable for those who enjoy pedaling without excessive elevation changes.
- LAROSTE FAMILY (25 km): the ideal option for families and cyclists discovering Lignano.
- La Ciclostorica d’Oro: a cycling event dedicated to vintage bikes and the charm of historic cycling.
All routes will start from the center of Lignano and will lead participants along cycle paths, dirt roads, and secondary roads, passing through pristine nature, river landscapes, historic villas, and typical food and wine stops of Friuli Venezia Giulia.
Sunday, September 28, 2025 – LAROSTE GRAVEL RACE
The real highlight will be the competitive race: a route of approximately 50 km to be ridden twice, starting and finishing in the heart of Lignano.
The route uses the main regional cycle paths, including:
- the Adriatic Sea Cycle Route (FVG2),
- the Tagliamento River Cycle Route (FVG6),
- and the cycling routes linked to the ASTER project on the Friulian Riviera.
It is a fast, flowing, and spectacular route, perfect for both professionals and amateurs who want to experience the thrill of a true gravel race.

September 28, 2025 – CONI Trophy 2025
From September 28 to October 1, 2025, Lignano Sabbiadoro will host the 2025 CONI Trophy (10th edition), the largest national sporting event for boys and girls under 14. This unique event, promoted by the Italian National Olympic Committee in collaboration with sports federations and organizations, will see the participation of over 4,600 young athletes and coaches, an all-time record for this event.
The 2025 CONI Trophy in Lignano Sabbiadoro will feature competitions in 44 disciplines, with the eagerly awaited debut of Wushu Kung Fu (sanda specialty) and spectacular demonstrations such as twirling. It’s not just sport, but also a chance to meet, socialise, and exchange culture among delegations from every region of Italy.
The final ranking will decide the winning team of the trophy, following the Emilia-Romagna Region’s success in the 2024 edition in Sicily.
The most impressive event will be the opening ceremony on Sunday, September 28th at 6:30 PM at the Teghil Stadium in Lignano Sabbiadoro, with the parade of regional teams and the lighting of the Olympic torch, a symbol of sporting passion and fair play.
